2024 Boys Chooch Award - Ben Gotham

Ben Gotham has made history as the first male recipient of the Chooch Award. This prestigious award honors the memory of Alex Chrzanowski, a beloved former teacher and coach who taught History at Roswell for 26 years. Alex also coached soccer and lacrosse at RHS, leading the boys' lacrosse team to state championships in 2014 and 2015. The award symbolizes Alex's passion for community, coaching, and Roswell.

Ben has been involved in Roswell lacrosse for 10 years, contributing significantly to the team's back-to-back State Championships in the past two years. Playing a crucial role as Long-Stick Middie (LSM), Ben has been a varsity player for 2.5 years, starting for two of those years and serving as team captain in his senior year.

Off the field, Ben volunteers as a coach for Roswell Youth Lacrosse in both the fall and spring, all while maintaining a weighted GPA of 90. This fall, Ben will be attending Georgia College. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors!
