2024 Boys Coach Marco Scholarship Award - Austin Edler
The Boys 2024 Marco Scholarship has been awarded to Austin Edler, a senior at Roswell High School. Austin boasts over 8 years of participation in Roswell Lacrosse, including 2.5 years on the Varsity team where he served as Team Captain during his Senior year. His contributions were instrumental in securing the Hornets' second consecutive State Championship, playing a key role at the Middie position and excelling in both offensive and defensive midfield play.
Austin's achievements off the field are equally impressive. Recognized as an Academic All-American by USA Lacrosse, he ranked among the Top 10 students at RHS with an exceptional weighted GPA of 102.6. Achieving a perfect score of 36 on his ACT, Austin was also active in the National Honor Society and Student Council, earning the prestigious Tom Zachary VIP Award twice. Notably, he founded and presides over the Star House Club, collaborating with the local nonprofit Star House to provide tutoring and mentorship to at-risk children in the community. His dedication to this cause has earned him a position on the organization's Board of Directors as a Student Advisor.
