2024 Girls Coach Marco Scholarship Award - Katie Braun

The 2024 Marco Scholarship has been awarded to Katie Braun, a senior at Pope High School. Katie has been an active lacrosse player in the Marietta area for 11 years. She earned her place on the varsity team as a freshman and has since become a four-year varsity player and a two-time varsity captain.

Off the field, Katie dedicates her time to coaching and refereeing youth lacrosse, sharing her expertise with future female players. Academically, she has achieved a 4.5 weighted GPA while taking an all honors and AP course load. Katie is a two-year member of the National Honor Society and participates in the English, Math, Science, and Social Studies National Honor Societies. Additionally, she has been a four-year member and board member of Habitat for Humanity and a four-year member of the Student Council.

Katie has committed to Temple University, where she will continue her lacrosse career with the Owls. Best of luck in Philadelphia this fall, Katie!
